Family Pictures

I’m attempting to get my Christmas Card list in order.  Part of that is deciding how many family pictures I have to order.  My other dilemma is deciding which picture to use!

My amazing friend Elise snapped a few pictures for us the other day.  She seriously has amazing camera skillz.  I narrowed it down to two pictures… One I should probably use, and one I want to use.

Are you curious yet?  I’ll share.

What do you think?  Should I go traditional or silly?

In other news, I still don’t have my ultrasound results.  I’m just so over this bad luck I have with the healthcare industry.  I called the gyn office yesterday to see what the holdup was.  They said they didn’t receive my results yet.  I called the radiology place, and they said they mailed the results the same day I was in the office, the 15th.  I called back and forth a few times, and we finally figured out that they sent my results to the wrong doctor.  Apparently there are two doctors with the same name in the same town.  They clicked the wrong one.  I am not amused.

So, I had confirmation at 4 pm yesterday that the gyn had received my results via fax.  I was hoping to hear from the doctor today, but that didn’t happen.

Daniel told me this morning that he was talking with his boss, Bruce, about healthcare.  We are apparently not the only ones in this state to have issues with doctors not listening and treating us badly.  Bruce said that he’s switched doctors twice in the past two years, his wife has switched doctors 4 times, and they’ve been through 12 doctors for their son.  TWELVE different doctors in two years???  We’re going to swap lists with them, lists of all the doctors we’ve used and what we’ve thought of them.  It’s so disgusting what the doctors in this state get away with doing!

So, I guess, please keep your fingers crossed that I hear something tomorrow??  Please??

I have another favor to ask, too!  Go here and pick 5 or 6 words you think describe me.  Then go here and pick 5-6 negative words you think describe me.  I promise not to be offended.  I’m just curious what people think of me.

Now that I’ve asked for way too many things, I’ll shut up.

"I have learned to keep to myself how exceptional I am." ~Mason Cooley I'm a married stay at home mom living in Southern New Jersey. I have one daughter, one son, and three furbabies. I love to cook. I love to craft. I love to sew. I just.... love to create in general. I also am pretty fond of adventuring, of exploring new places. I'm shy when I first meet people, but once I'm comfortable with them, you can't shut me up. I'm crazy and silly. I have an unhealthy obsession with dinosaurs.

They are both really good pictures of you guys!! If it was me, I would choose the first one-I love how Trinity is being silly!! Not too many people show their silly sides these days and it’s definitely something to smile about! =) I’m still thinking about you and hoping for good news…it’s so sad that our healthcare is being put on the back burner these days.

  2. I would go with the silly one because you only go around once in this life and you may as well have a laugh as you go! I chose 6 positive aspects of your personality as I see it, but when I got to the negative I could only see one (timid) that I thought remotely described you. It wouldn’t let me post without a minimum of 5 so I didn’t do it – However, I DID have an epiphany as I was choosing your positive aspects – you need to start a website for NJ physician reviews along with free-standing clinics etc…. Like Angie’s List – and next year you will be posting a TV commercial with some woman saying she NEVER goes to the dr. or has a test done without consulting Pami’s List and for just $50 per year, you can too – BUT WAIT! for the next 5 minutes, you can get 2 memberships for the price of one – that way, YOU and YOUR NEIGHBOR will be able to check out how all of New Jersey feels about your OB/GYN and his/her techniques! 🙂 I’m really serious about the webiste though.

I ended up getting some of each photos because I couldn’t decide. This way I can send them out based on the recipients personality.

Thanks!! My other friend said she was sad she couldn’t just put ‘panicky’ It’s funny how I see all my faults, but others have a hard time seeing them. I guess it’s a real eye opener!

I should totally start a website like that. I have a feeling I’m going to visit way more doctors before this is over!

I like the traditional one – but they are both really nice. What a good-looking family!

Am keeping my fingers crossed for good results soon…

Thanks!! I ended up ordering some of both, that way I can send them out according to the recipient’s personality, haha. I just couldn’t decide!

  4. Gail says:

If it was up to me, and I am no way bias…..I would just send both!

  5. I would pick traditional because the family that I mail my cards too would probably not be too amused with the silly picture. I guess it depends on your recipients…
I can’t believe how much your doctors suck. I’m really lucky because my family doctor is the greatest doctor to ever have lived, but sometimes I will have to see specialists who are pompous and crude, often baselessly judgmental and really poor listeners. I’ll then return to my family doctor to ask for a referral to a different specialist.
I went to the first link and picked 5 things about you, because you’re awesome. I went to the second link and looked at the things, but none of them described you so I left.
    You rock.

I ended up ordering some of each, that way I could send them out according to the recipient 😉 My fun friends get the silly ones, my older family members get the traditional one. It’s a win/win! Plus, I didn’t have to decide. Haha.

Thankfully I finally found a family doctor that is awesome… it’s just the specialists I’m dealing with now. Ugh. Sorry you’re dealing with stupid specialists, too. Hopefully you can find one who isn’t an idiot!!

Aww… thanks! You’re pretty awesome, too!

  6. Pam! What a beautiful family you all are! Either photo is awesome! Although after seeing the first “silly” one, and having seen the same look on Nicole’s face…I’m convinced if the two of them were in the same room for any length of time, they’d solve global warming and/or create world peace or something. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you – the stress of the medical world is probably half as bad as the disease they treat. If you are interested in any distance Reiki, just let me know.
    Hang in there!

Thank you!!! I ended up ordering some of each picture so I could send them out according to the recipient!

I think Trinity and Nicole would be awesome friends! They sound so much alike! It’s a hard age, and a lot of the girls Trinity knows are growing up too fast. It’s nice to hear that Nicole is keeping some of her childlike spirit like Trinity is!

      • Good idea with the cards…we do that too, get some with humor, some more serious, depending on the recipient.

Trinity and Nicole do sound like peas in a pod…here’s to the kid in all of us!

  7. Lauren says:

I vote silly! Your family clearly has some awesome character. Why not show it with the card? : )

    • pamasaurus says:

Thanks! I actually ordered a little of both because I couldn’t decide. This way I can send them out according to the recipient’s personality 😉
